Florida Georgia Line Cancels FGL Fest Due to Severe Weather

-

Florida Georgia Line—Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley—were forced to cancel FGL Fest this weekend in Indianapolis due to a threat of severe weather.

Announced earlier this summer, the inaugural fest was set to take place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with multiple acts including, Cole Swindell, RaeLynn, Nelly, Jillian Jacqueline, Mason Ramsey, Riley Green and Stephanie Quayle.

The venue issued a statement shortly before the fest was set to begin.

“We deeply regret to announce that today’s FGL Fest at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been canceled,” the statement reads. “This decision was made after a comprehensive review of current and forecasted weather conditions, and with the safety of event attendees as our top priority.”

FGL took to Twitter to share their feelings. “We’re so bummed this happened today to FGL Fest. Unfortunately the weather wouldn’t permit us to play and we’d never want to put the fans in any danger. Love y’all, we’ll be back. -T and BK.”

Tyler was as upset as the fans. The singer later took to Instagram to issue an apology, vowing that FGL will be back.

“Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to our fans. Wanted to say I’m super bummed, super sorry that we had to cancel the Indy show. Reading those comments makes me even sadder. I know you guys were excited. We were excited, it was going to be a big one. But we’re gonna be back in Indy really soon. We’ll make it up to you guys, I promise. The weather is completely out of our control. And for some reason I guess God didn’t want us to play a show this weekend. But in the meantime, I’m hanging out with the family. So I’m not too bummed, playing peekaboo with my little angel. I miss you Indy. Wish I was there, but we’ll be there soon.”
