Gabby Barrett Shares Powerful Cover of LeAnn Rimes’ “I Need You”

Since finishing third on “American Idol, Gabby Barrett has been keeping herself busy. The Pennsylvania native has recorded a few original songs and released her own independant videos.

Now, Gabby is covering songs from country’s top females. She nailed her own version of Carrie Underwood’s “Cry Pretty,” and has most recently taken on LeAnn Rimes’ “I Need You.” 

Gabby posted the video on her Youtube channel to share with fans. The video has Gabby decked out in a red dress, singing into a studio mic. But that’s not all the “AI” contestant has up her sleeve. “Please stay tuned for a lot of very cool things happening for me. I’m Writing with a dream team from Nashville. I hope to see you guys on The American Idol Tour!!!”

The American Idol Tour finds Gabby joining season 16’s Top 7 finalists Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Catie Turner, Jurnee, Maddie Poppe and Michael J. Woodard for an eight week jaunt across the country, kicking off July 1.
