Garth Brooks is giving fans an inside look at his rise to stardom in his latest anthology series. “The Anthology Part III, LIVE” will be available on Nov. 20 and shares insight into Garth’s live show. Written by the singer with Warren Zanes, part three of Garth’s five-part anthology details the singer’s first time playing live at 19 as well as his legendary Central Park gig in 1997.
“I did a lot of tours with other artists, all wonderful, but this was like getting to open for Elvis,” Trisha Yearwood says about the Central Park experience.
The book details Garth’s Central Park set where a million fans gathered to watch his performance. Garth, Trisha, his band and crew recall the experience in the latest anthology.
“From just being a bar bouncer to playing with only a few people watching at Willie’s Saloon in Stillwater, OK, to being an opening act for Reba, The Judds and Kenny Rogers to finally headline his own tours throughout the 90s, you get to watch the audience grow larger and larger with each show all the way to international stardom at Croke Park in Ireland,” a press release states. “It’s a journey and you are there in Garth’s entourage for the whole thing.”
“The Anthology Part III, LIVE” encompasses five CDs that contain 52 live recordings, including the new live album, “Triple Live.” Garth’s live album is the soundtrack of the recent Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood. The anthology also has over 100 behind-the-scenes and performance photos. Fans can download the Garth Live app as a companion to the anthology and hold it over the book cover, along with photos inside the anthology, to watch Garth’s story come to life.
