Garth Brooks has some big news.
In a time when we have all been quarantined in our houses for two months, Garth is giving us an escape. The legendary country singer appeared on Good Morning America Thursday morning (June 11) to reveal his massive drive in concert to be seen across the country.
“It’s pretty cool. They’re going to run it just like a regular concert. This is going to be all over North America, one night only,” Garth told Robin Roberts, We are excited. This is a reason to get out of the house but at the same time you get to follow all the Covid rules from every individual state and you get to have fun and stay in the guidelines o social distancing. We’re calling it social distancing partying.”
Tickets cost $100 a car, with no limit to car occupancy and approximately 200-300 tickets will be available per drive-in.
“You tune right into your car radio, so you can blast it, blare it as loud as you want, windows up, windows down, sing-a-long. This is the perfect way for us to get to play music and still follow all the rules that we’re under right now.”

In addition, Robin pressed Garth to know when his new album “Fun” would be released. However, Garth has his reasons as to why we haven’t gotten it yet.
“The album’s coming here soon,” Garth shared. “I just didn’t want to be a guy out promoting stuff for me while other people are, truthfully, their suffering, their sacrificing for their fellow human being and staying out of work. so when things start to kick back up and everybody can smile again and be joyous again…I think that’s when we’ll release the new music.”
Tickets for Garth’s drive-in concert will go on sale on June 19 at 12PM ET / 11AM CT via Ticketmaster. A list of theater venues hosting the concert will be available the same day.
