There’s a reason that George Strait is referred to as the King. He knows how to pick songs that everyone has lived or will live in their lifetime.

His latest single is a throw back to the hits that made him famous.

“It’s one of my favorite cuts,” Strait said in a statement. “It’s a fun song that if I was drinking a cold beer with some buddies, I’d want to hear.”

The tune, which was written by Wyatt Earp and Keith Gattis, is sure to be a playlist favorite with lines like:

I put in my forty and they take out way too much
The same old story, same old brown bag, homemade lunch
Might not be the big dream but I guess I can’t complain
It pays the rent but that’s about all that it paysIt’s been too long

It then moves into the fantasy of running away:

Hey, I’m goin’, I’m goin’
I’m overdue so throw it on the card
Bartender, keep it open, I’m just getting started
Come Monday morning, I just might be overdrawn
But it’s Friday night, so, I’m goin’, goin’ gone
