Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott gave birth to twins on January 29 and took some time off the road to stay at home. Like all households with newborns, it could be a little hectic.

Enter, Chris Tyrell, Hillary’s husband. Chris stepped up as a dad to spend some quality time with their oldest daughter, Eisele, for a daddy-daughter date. With the babies getting most of everyone’s attention, Chris turned his attention to their 4-year-old little girl.

Hillary couldn’t help but brag about her terrific hubby, taking to Instagram to share the story.

“Big sister got picked up at school today by her [Prince emoji] in a suit to take her on a surprise special date. Where? To their favorite “fancy” restaurant. Why? Just because,” Hillary posted on Instagram.

She went on to say, “As he left the house today he asked, “Should I wear a tie?”…just like he would ask a friend before a first date. And I swoon….because I have a husband like that…and our little girls have a daddy like that. Thoughtful. Intentional. Heart of gold.”

Chris and Hillary announced that Chris would be stepping away from his Lady A band duties as the drummer. The new mom and dad decided it was best that he be the one to take care of the children, while mom is out on the road with Lady Antebellum.

“I’ve been a bandmate, employee, husband and dad, so I’m okay removing a hat,” Chris told People. “Besides, when you looked at whether the band could do without me or her, there wasn’t much question!”

Hillary Scotty is one lucky lady.
