Ever since her days on “The Voice,” RaeLynn has remained a favorite in my book of singer/songwriters. From her genuine personality to her unique style, she’s not afraid to be herself— a trait that comes through in so many of her songs.

Like many musicians, writers, artists, and creatives, RaeLynn has a special place in her home where she can find inspiration. In an exclusive interview with One Country, RaeLynn opened up about the inspiration behind her songwriting space and how you can shop the look for yourself.

RaeLynn worked with HomeGoods to vamp up her space, using a few of her favorite personal items, like her grandmother’s piano and a guitar Blake Shelton gave her, as her focal points.

“When styling my new music room with HomeGoods, I really wanted to make the space a place that sparks creativity for me to write,” she said. “I was able to find so many pieces that fit my bohemian, modern-meets-western style – from a vibrant printed rug to a super-soft fuzzy bench for my piano. Every piece in the room speaks to me and brings me right into that artistic, songwriting mindset.”

When it came time to decorate, she had two priorities in mind:

“I had two main ideas when decorating the space: 1: Make sure each of my instruments, my guitars, and piano, had a “home,” and 2: Design a songwriting nook to foster inspiration,” she said.

“The piano is so special to me, my grandmother, “Memaw” gave it to me and I love that I can create music using something that was hers,” she said. “My guitar from The Voice was a gift from Blake Shelton that I will cherish forever.”

The room now serves as a source of inspiration and solitude for her as she writes. “The space ignites my creativity as an artist because I was able to infuse pieces that inspire me,” she said.

“Next to my piano I hung two of my favorite Dolly Parton records, she is one of my biggest inspirations – I cried my eyes out when I met her for the first time! To be able to literally look to Dolly while I am creating music is unreal.”

RaeLynn looked for unique and affordable pieces that could complete the room’s look.

While exploring the aisles at HomeGoods, I found this “not your grandmothers” wicker chair that was so different and unexpected. The moment I saw it in store, I totally fell in love with it (and the incredible price)! I ended up putting it in the corner with a fun floor lamp, decorative faux plants of all sizes and this magical unicorn art piece that I’m obsessed with – creating a writing nook I adore.”

While every HomeGoods store carries different, unqiue items, you’re sure to find the perfect pieces to fit your own personal space and style that inspires you to create.

It is really amazing that I have such an inspiring space in my home,” RaeLynn said. “Especially since I am on the road so much lately and will be touring more in the new year, I love to come home to a house that is vibrant and artistic – I never want to leave!”

Don’t miss Raelynn Thursday, Nov. 1 at The Cannery Ballroom in Nashville alongside special guest Ross Ellis. The SiriusXM The Highway Presents: RaeLynn event will have the Texas native performing her recently released single “Tailgate” and “Queens Don’t” from her highly-anticipated sophomore album.
