Jason Aldean has had quite a week. The 41-year-old singer released his eighth studio album, Rearview Town, on April 13, and took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year award at the ACMs on Sunday night (April 15). Jason stopped by the “Today” show to talk about his recent accomplishments.
“Pretty crazy,” Jason told the hosts. “We’re riding pretty high this week. It’s been a good week—the album dropping and taking home the Entertainer of theYear at the ACMs was a big night for us. It’s been a good week so far.”
The week is only going to get better for the Georgia native. Billboard is already predicting that Jason’s album, Rearview Town, will debut at No. 1 on the charts. That’s nothing new for the country rocker who saw his last album, They Don’t Know, debut at No. 1.
“I hope they are right,” Jason said. I don’t like to get ahead of ourselves, but it seems to be doing really well this first week. It’s always nice to come out that first week and make a statement when you have a new album. If we happen to have the number one record this week, it will be a big week for us.”
Next up, Jason will hit the road for his High Noon Neon Tour, kicking off May 10 in Kansas City, Mo. Joining the superstar will be opening acts, Lauren Alaina and Luke Combs.
