John Rich and his Redneck Riviera are adding another notch in their product belt with the announcement of their Redneck Riviera Whiskey, Co.
Rich and Redneck Riviera have teamed up with Eastside Distilling to create an American blended whiskey. Bottling is expected to begin in December.
In a release, Rich said, “This is an exciting time for the Redneck Riviera brand. It has always been my goal to have a spirits line, and to be announcing this so young into the company’s launch is such a thrill and an honor. To be able to roll out this custom blend whiskey made in America by some of the top distillers in the country is a big win for us. I love a smooth blend of whiskey and a tight cigar to chill out after a rocking Big & Rich show or just a nice evening at home. This team is hard working and they play even harder, just like we do.”
During a phone call to announce the whiskey, Rich said the whiskey won’t “have a strong nose” and it won’t burn, because that’s the way Rich likes it. He also said it might kind of taste like a Werther’s Original.
Also during the call, Rich said the whiskey would reflect the brand’s attention to the “work hard, play hard” American way, “When it comes to Redneck Riviera whiskey that same patriotic pride comes with it… I am proud of it. Just like the bars, this whiskey is going to come out at a price point that most Americans can afford.”
Redneck Riviera has two honky-tonks. Redneck Riviera Vegas is now open at the Grand Bazaar Shops adjacent to Bally’s Las Vegas on the famed Sin City strip, and Redneck Riviera Nashville is set to open in spring of 2018 on Nashville’s Lower Broadway.
