We Might Not Ever Know Whose Body Inspired “Body Like A Back Road”

Josh Osborne was on hand at the 55th Annual ASCAP Country Music Awards as a co-writer on two of the most performed songs of the year– “Make You Miss Me” and “Setting The World On Fire,” but we just really wanted to ask him questions about that other song he helped write, “Body Like A Back Road.”

Osborne co-wrote the tune with Sam Hunt, Shane McAnally and Zach Crowell, but he wouldn’t spill the beans on that now famous songwriting session. Yes, we asked him who has the body like a back road that inspired the song.

“I’m not actually allowed to say, but…well, I can say I choose not to say…I’ll just say it was Sam Hunt’s idea…,” he told us. He also said that his wife has a body like a back road.

Josh does his own pretty good acoustic rendition of the tune too.
