Josh Turner Performs “I Saw The Light” [Watch]

Back in September, Josh Turner announced that he would be releasing a new album titled I Serve A Savior. The follow-up to his 2017 release, Deep South, the gospel project will include hand-picked hymns from the singer, brand-new originals, as well as live recordings of Josh’s previous hits “Me and God” and “Long Black Train.”

During a live performance at Gaither Studio, Josh Turner performed the classic song, “I Saw The Light,” adding his signature southern twang and twist. As a believer, I’ve heard this song hundreds of times, but the lyrics never cease to give me chills:

I wandered so aimless life filled with sin//
I wouldn’t let my dear savior in//
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night//
Praise the Lord I saw the light//

I saw the light, I saw the light//
No more darkness no more night//
Now I’m so happy no sorrow in sight//
Praise the Lord I saw the light

Josh Turner’s album I Serve a Savior will be available on October 26.
