Country music sensation Justin Moore recently released his first studio record in 3 years– and it may be his best yet.

The album, Kinda Don’t Care, has already produced a Top 10 single, “You Look Like I Need a Drink,” as well as countless other tracks that have created a loud, positive buzz around the country music realm.

But, despite the laid-back title, a lot of time, love and thought went into creating the 12-track record.

Recently, we had the opportunity to sit down and talk to Justin about the album’s creation and, for him, the 3-year hiatus between albums gave him more perspective and excitement when compiling and recording songs for Kinda Don’t Care.

“You know, part of it was I needed a little bit of a break and part of it was, honestly, I didn’t know what I wanted to do,” he said. “I knew this was a big step and stage into our career and I wanted to make sure we took the right one. And, uh, you know, even since my last album, the way radio sounds has changed. So, it was important to me to grow and push myself a little more than I have in the past in order to, you know, keep up with these young cats. It’s hard to believe I’ve almost been doing this a decade, you know.”

The 32-year-old talent also took some time to talk about the traditional sound of the album saying, “I don’t want to desert what’s gotten me to this point in my career.”
