It’s fun to imagine Justin Moore stretched out in the studio listening to a new track and being asked, “What do you want to call this new album?” to which he lackadaisically responds, “Kinda Don’t Care.”

But that is not the case – even though it makes a nice mental image. The Arkansas native had a specific message he was trying to send.

“This is the best piece of music we’ve delivered because it gets more fun each time,” said in a statement. “Naming the album Kinda Don’t Care is not meant to be nonchalant or careless. It’s meant to be a challenge to folks to live life a little more freely and be true to themselves.”

The title takes its name from a song that the singer-songwriter actually didn’t pen.

“The song is one that I had on hold for a couple of years,” he told Radio.com. “It may come off a little nonchalant and lackadaisical, but on this album we were really trying to marry that stone-cold country side of what I do, which my music is rooted in, with a more modern sound. We gotta try to keep up with these young cats who are starting now, who have ‘hip-ed’ it up a little. It was our goal to marry those ideas together as seamlessly as we possibly could. And I hope we did that.”

The first single from the project “You Look Like I Need a Drink” is currently climbing the charts and you can purchase the entire album now.
