Kate Hudson stopped “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Thursday (Sept. 12) to talk about a number of projects, including her current movie, “Marshall,” currently in theaters.

Ellen and Kate talked about everything from Kate’s newly shorn hair for her role in a musical written and directed by singer/songwriter Sia, bringing back the mullet, Kate’s workout with bottles of wine and her current boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa.

After the interview, the ladies turned up the heat for a competitive game of Champong. Joining the actress and talk show host for the competition, was Argentine polo star, Nacho Figueras.

As Ellen describes it, Champong is beer pong with Champagne. The object is basically to get drunk. The game played is in teams of two in which each team takes turns throwing a ping pong ball into the other team’s cups, usually filled with beer. In this case the cups were filled with Champagne. Once a ball lands in a cup, the opposite team has to drink the champagne in the cup and the cup is taken out of play.

The game started in a friendly manner, with Kate being the first one to get the ball in the glass (albeit on two bounces, but who’s counting) but it soon took a turn when Nacho started hurling balls at Ellen. “You can’t do it like that,” Ellen shouted. That’s when all hell broke loose and Ellen and Nacho just started flinging balls at each other.

Unfortunately, the game ended without a winner, but at least Ellen and Nacho were able to lock arms and sip champagne together.
