After announcing a brand new tour with Kelsea Ballerini and a new album, GraffitiU, Keith Urban has released a brand new tune for fans, “Parallel Line.”

The tune is a slow love song that is as sexy as it subtle– something Urban has long been good at. It is an interesting approach for him though, as he shares that he’s ready to finally open himself up to love.

[Verse 1]
You said “I love you” to me
I don’t know what that means
So I froze on my feet
People use it too carelessly
And I couldn’t believe
That you would dive in so deep
And you said perfectly
Everything I’ve been feeling about you
It’s time to break the chains that held me back from you

[Chorus]
So come on and
Take a little bit of my
Heart tonight
No, I literally really don’t mind
Just please don’t misplace it
Take a little bit of my
Heart tonight
No, baby be mine now
Baby, be mine now
Maybe it’s time we put our hearts in a parallel line

[Verse 2]
I was never the type
To put it all on the line
But I’ve been changing my mind since you opened my eyes
It was the way that the light
Picked you out of that night
Then you were right by my side
Put a soul in my body
And now it’s time to close the space between the two of us
So come on and

[Chorus]
Take a little bit of my
Heart tonight
No, I literally really don’t mind
Just please don’t misplace it
Take a little bit of my
Heart tonight
No, baby be mine now
Baby, be mine now
Take a little bit of my
Heart tonight
No, I literally really don’t mind
Just please don’t misplace it
Take a little bit of my
Heart tonight
No, baby be mine now
Baby, be mine now

[Outro]
Maybe it’s time we put our hearts in a parallel line
Put our hearts in a parallel line
Put our hearts in a parallel line

Technically, this isn’t the first single from the new album, but Urban did say, “I’ve been full-on writing, recording, collaborating and creating with some incredibly talented people for GRAFFITI U, a lot of whom I’ve never worked with before. I can hear how some of the songs will translate live already, which really makes putting on a new show so exhilarating and I loved having our fans included in the announcement of the tour because it’s their tour too.”

Urban is slated to be a part of the Million Dollar Show with Bobby Bones-and the Raging Idiots, Darius Rucker, and Maren Morris January 22 in Nashville. His nationwide tour with Kelsea Ballerini will begin in June. You can find tickets here.
