Keith Urban previewed his new album, Ripcord, for an audience of 50 fans or so at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The entire album (track list below) was played for attendees before Keith took the stage to talk more in depth about a few tunes. In the video below, you can see the as Keith tells of the writing of “Gone Tomorrow (Here Today),” the first tune on the album.

“I was thinking, I had just my dad a few months before,” Keith explained. “I was thinking about that die, where they go. Where are they? Separate to philosophy, ideology, theology. They’re here, then they’re gone … I just wrote.”

He went on to discuss the collaboration with Pitbull, which appears on “Sun Don’t Let Me Down” and how three people form three different countries wrote a song about the same experiences they had growing up, which became “Wasted Time.”
