At this point in his career, Keith Urban has more than a couple of big hits. Not to mention, he’s won GRAMMYs, CMAs and ACMs for several of those songs. But, yes, one song does mean more to him than the others– at least while performing.
“‘Somebody Like You,’ for sure. That song I feel immense gratitude for, the spirit of it, the heart of it, how universal it feels. How timeless it feels. How it means something different each tour… the words haven’t changed at all, but it’s different,” Urban told Kix Brooks.
Urban’s choice makes sense. “Somebody Like You,” was his second No. 1 single, but it spent 6 weeks at the top of the charts and was named Billboard‘s “No. 1 country song of the first decade of the 21st century.”
At the time, Urban wasn’t married to Nicole Kidman, but it still feels like it was written about her, right?
