Keith Urban’s Reaction to CMA Entertainer of the Year Award Win is Priceless

It was the surprise win of the night when Keith Urban took home Entertainer of the Year at the 52nd Annual CMA Awards Wednesday night (Nov. 14). While his big win was long overdue and well deserved, the Aussie singer has been passed over for a CMA award, even going 0 for 5 at the 2016 ceremony. Finally last night, Keith Urban got the recognition he so deserves.

However, no one was more surprised than Keith himself. The look on Keith’s face after his name was announced was that of pure shock. His wife, Nicole Kidman was equally as shocked, burying her head in her hand as his name was read.

With tears in his eyes, Keith hugged Nicole and took the stage for an emotional and thankful speech.

“Thank you so much. Baby girl I love you so much. I’m shocked beyond shocked. Our girls at home I love you. Thank you for supporting daddy and loving me through all of what I do, same with you baby girl. You make it all worthwhile,” Keith began.

“The fans, you are phenomenal, phenomenal,” Keith added before thanking the people behind the scenes. “Above all, God I thank you so much for the blessings of this. I wish my dad was alive to see this but I think he’s watching over me tonight. I just feel very, very blessed, very grateful that I get to do what I do. Thank all of you for coming out and God bless country music. God bless you all.”

Congratulations to country music’s Entertainer of the Year, Keith Urban.
