Here’s a rendition of “Deck the Halls” we bet you never heard before. Kelleigh Bannon is taking the Christmas classic and putting her own twist on the familiar song.

Produced by Justin Glasco (The Lone Bellow), Bannen’s rendition adds a rootsy twist to the traditional Christmas classics.

“I have always had a special obsession with Christmas music, in fact Bing Crosby’s ‘White Christmas’ was the first album I knew by heart,” said Bannen. “As an artist, I think when it comes to recording Christmas music, you either have to go really classic or you have to go in and do something really different. On ‘Deck The Halls,’ I just kind of stumbled onto this little alternate melody for the “fa la la” part.”

Kelleigh, who hails from Tennessee, is known for putting her mark on the music she releases. Her 2012 single “Famous” garnered the singer attention amongst the country music industry. Followed by her most recent EP, Cheap Sunglasses, which features songs all co-written by Kelleigh, including “Landlocked” and the title track.

You can catch Kelleigh opening for Little Big Town at the Ryman Auditorium, as the band closes out their residency on Nov. 27.

And by the way, there are 37 shopping days left until Christmas. Enjoy!
