Kelsea Ballerini is gearing up for a big night at the 53rd ACM Awards in Las Vegas. The double ACM nominee— vying for ACM Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year—revealed a few surprises in store.
While rehearsing her performance of “I Hate Love Songs,” Kelsea realized she needed to make a change to her production.
“I just came from rehearsals and it’s by far the biggest production value performance I’ve done.. All I will tell you is that we had to add a harness,” she revealed at the Twisted X/One Country booth backstage. “We had to add a harness to the performance because I rehearsed today without one and I had a full fledge panic. It’s a situation, it’s a real situation. I’m excited.”
In addition, Kelsea and her husband Morgan Evans have something special planned for the red carpet walk.
“It’s me and Morgan’s first married red carpet together. So we are kind of doing an ode to being married,” Kelsea told One Country‘s Kelly Sutton.
The 24-year-old did promise that their outfits wouldn’t be a re-do of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s denim get up at the 2001 American Music Awards. So we have that to look forward to.
You can catch all the fun at the 53rd Annual ACM Awards airing live from Last Vegas on April 15 on CBS.
