[Watch] Kelsea Ballerini and The Chainsmokers Make Television Debut of “This Feeling”

The long awaited collaboration from Kelsea Ballerini and The Chainsmokers is finally here and on Wednesday (Sept. 26), they made the television debut of “This Feeling” during a performance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” For nearly four minutes, Kelsea and the Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall and Andrew Taggar brought the infectious jam to a live studio audience and from the looks of it, they won over the L.A. crowd.

During their performance, Kelsea impressed with her delicate vocals and contagious energy. Donning black jeans, a black sequined jacket and white tank top with red heels and large red hoop earrings, she kicked off the pop-dance track alongside light percussion and acoustic guitar accompaniment.

“I’ll tell you a story / before it tells itself / I’ll lay out my reasons / you say that I need help / we all got expectations / and sometimes they go wrong / but no one listens to me so I put it in this song,” Kelsea sings at the start of the song.

Later, the Chainsmokers joined in on vocals and added their own production elements. All the while, Kelsea looked on and danced along as they put their distinct EDM flavor on the track.

The Chainsmokers shared their admiration for the country singer earlier this month during an interview with Beats 1 Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.

“I feel like you look at her and you smile,” Alex said. “She’s such a happy person. We got this video back, the video back for the song, and just looking at her you’re just like, ‘She’s such a cutie.’”

The feeling is mutual as Kelsea gushed about their collaboration in the interview. “I’ve literally said for like two years now my dream collab is to work with these guys,” Kelsea said to Zane.
