Kelsea Ballerini Shares Beautiful Cover of Keith Urban’s “Female”

At the 51st Annual CMA Awards, we got to see Keith Urban perform his new song “Female,” an empowering song that addresses so many of the issues women face today.

Kelsea Ballerini took to Instagram to share a clip of her covering the song, and it gave me chills.

“The reason I love country music is because we have songwriters like @nicatnitemusic @shanemcanally and @rosscopperman who write lyrical and brilliant truth and artists like @keithurban who are bold enough to put it out into the world. Bowing down to this one. #female” she captioned the post.

All I know is I’m gonna need the full cover of this from Kelsea ASAP, because wow. Maybe it’s because it’s Friday and I’m an emotional FEMALE, but I actually started to tear up listening to Kelsea sing this– just like when Keith Urban sings it, you can sense and feel her passion for the message through every word that comes out of her mouth.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the full version from Keith— you won’t regret it.
