Morgan Evans Surprises Kelsea Ballerini With Valentine’s Day Flowers During Ryman Show

-

While Kelsea Ballerini was tearing the roof off of Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium during her Unapologetically tour on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14), her husband Morgan Evans was feeling a little bit romantic.

The “Kiss Somebody” singer was a surprise to audience members when Kelsea introduced her new husband to come out and perform together for the first time on the Ryman stage. But Morgan turned the tables on Kelsea and surprised her with an extra large floral arrangement.

“Guys, I thought he forgot about Valentine’s,” Kelsea shared from the stage. “I thought he forgot.”

“Happy Valentine’s Day,” Morgan said after receiving a big kiss from Kelsea.

As the crowd cheered with approval, Kelsea went on to introduce her husband of two months. “We met on stage, we met hosting an award show together,” she began.”We’ve been to a bunch of each other’s shows, but we never sang together. What are we singing babe?”

“How good is she?” Morgan asked the crowd. “This tour just started last weekend and I went out saw a couple of the shows and its this amazing story and Kelsea was like, ‘I want you to come sing, it’s at the Ryman in Nashville.’ I said, ‘I don’t want to ruin the show.'”

“You’re part of the story,” Kelsea replied back as the audience cheered. With that, the two performed the song that Morgan wrote six weeks after they met. As the story goes, Kelsea was on a morning show, while Morgan was on his couch. He couldn’t listen to the news gossip any longer, so he shut off the TV and proceeded to write the love song after a spark of inspiration struck.

“It’s the first song I wrote for Kelsea,” Morgan explained. “There’s only one way it could get better and that was to get Kelsea to sing on it. It’s called ‘Dance With Me.'”

Kelsea and Morgan shared a special moment this Valentine’s day, singing a love song on the Ryman Auditorium stage.
