On June 27, Shania Twain was at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for the opening of her new exhibit, Shania Twain: Rock This Country. The event was attended by a smattering of music industry professionals, press and Kelsea Ballerini.
I was standing near the stage, where the Hall of Fame’s Kyle Young was about make remarks about Shania’s career and then introduce the superstar herself, when I looked over to the side of the stage and spotted Kelsea.
She was there as a fan, just excited to see Shania and her new exhibit. “The quickest way to see me fangirl?,” Kelsea wrote on Instagram. “Put me in front of Shania Twain. I LOVE this woman. so awesome being at the opening of her exhibit at the [Hall of Fame].”
“I can keep it on lock for a while and bro out with pretty much anyone, but there are certain people, like Shania Twain,” Kelsea recently told Huffington Post. “I love her. I’ve gotten to meet and sing with her and I fangirl to her face every time. And I’ll never not because it’s Shania! There are certain people that I just can’t be casual around.”
It’s so refreshing to see an artist express excitement like this. Congrats to Kelsea for meeting one of her idols.

And, of course, how cute was Kelsea?
