Kelsea Ballerini’s latest single “Miss Me More” showcases the country singer’s swagger. While the upbeat track is a staple in her live show, the Tennessean recently shared a stripped down acoustic version of “Miss Me More” that gives the song added meaning.
A track about a woman who realizes her self worth at the end of a relationship, the song’s heartfelt lyrics are more poignant as Kelsea sings them seated on the floor of her home in Nashville. Dressed in an all pink ensemble, Kelsea softly sings the song alongside her acoustic guitar.
“The Love you are giving this song is beautiful,” she captions three clips of her singing the track on Instagram. “Thank you for being such a force and for making me feel heard.”
As a camera pans her living room, Kelsea is seen seated on the carpet while softly singing the song’s heartfelt lyrics.
“I thought I’d miss you (when it ended) / I thought it hurt me (but it didn’t) / I thought I’d miss you / Yeah, I thought I’d miss you / But I miss me more / I miss my own beat, to my own snare drum (I miss me more)/ Miss my own sheets in the bed I made up / I forgot I had dreams, I forgot I had wings / Forgot who I was before I ever kissed you / Yeah, I thought I’d miss you / But I miss me more (I miss me more),” she sings in the chorus.
Kelsea penned the song with David Hodges and Brett McLaughlin. It is featured as the third single off her latest album, Unapologetically, following the lead track “Legends” and “I Hate Love Songs.”
