Kip Moore is currently flooding the internet with his music videos. He has released four videos in two weeks to go with his four recent singles (“More Girls Like You”, “The Bull”, “Blonde”, and “Bittersweet Company”), but switched things up for his most recent video “Bittersweet Company.” The video covers an unreleased acoustic version of the tune which fits perfectly with the laid back road trip storyline.
The video follows Moore hitchhiking through the backcountry avoiding texts from his girl. He is picked up by a beautiful woman, presumably in the same situation. The lyrics work as a kind of confession, Moore pouring out his heart to a stranger who is simply there to understand and give him a ride South. The video plays with the “will they, won’t they” trope, but ultimately leaves the two to head their own ways, determined to make things work at home in relationships that were once defined by fearless love.
You can stream the single now or download the deceptively happy full band version of the track immediately if you pre-order Moore’s new album Slowheart. The full album releases September 8.
