After traveling the world for their You Look Good Tour in the Netherlands, England, Ireland, Scotland, Charles Kelley and his wife, Cassie, chose to take a little time for themselves at the end of the tour.

The second leg of the tour kicked off on Oct. 1 in Amsterdam and was supposed to wrap in Johannesburg, South Africa on Oct. 15. However, due to Hillary Scott’s pregnancy with twins, the group decided to cancel their South African tour dates.

Charles and Cassie decided to go ahead to South Africa on their own for a little time to themselves. While there they took an African safari, spending time in what appears to be the Singita Kruger National Park. The couple encountered lions, elephants, giraffes and buffalo in their travels.

But all good things must come to an end and when the trip was over, they were eager to get back to their 1-year-old son, Ward.

“Had the most amazing experience in South Africa with my best friend and wife @cassiemkelley! Only once did I think we were about to be eaten by lions and almost peed myself. Now we are almost home and get to squeeze little man. #oursingita @singita,” Charles wrote in a post.

Welcome home!

Charles and Cassie took to Instagram to share photos from their excellent adventure.

1. “I kept singing @lukebryan song #kickthedustup to my wife @cassiemkelley when I saw an elephant do this! He’s kicking the roots up.”

4. “Got within about 10 yards of this guy and his 3 brothers. They are the male shish pride of lions and y’all, you can’t even imagine the size of their paws. There we were, sitting in an open air vehicle 10 yards away from lounging lions.”

5. “🐃 “cows with a bad attitude” 😂 spent the morning with some buffalo #oursingita #southafrica #krugernationalpark #singitalebombo”
