Thomas Rhett’s wife, Lauren Akins is sharing baby pictures of their adopted daughter, Willa Gray, on this #GivingTuesday to help raise awareness for the worldwide orphan crisis.

The mother of two took to Instagram to let people know that her daughter was once an orphan helped by the 147 million orphans charity that she and TR support. 147 million orphans is a non-profit organization that provides food, water, medicine and shelter to children living in poverty. The organization works with impoverished children in Haiti, Honduras, Uganda and the U.S.

“HAPPY #givingtuesday! These are some pics of my baby before she was legally my baby-she’s ALWAYS been MY baby💗💗 but, I wanted to share these because every time you #help1 #feed1 and #love1 of the children @147million supports in Uganda you are helping, feeding and loving a Willa Gray (SHE used to be one of the mouths y’all were feeding with every purchase & donation to 147),” Lauren wrote in the post.

“In the last photo there’s a pic of me and TR wearing the newest 147 Million Orphans t-shirts and with each one you purchase you are feeding one child in Uganda for TWO WEEKS💪🏾💛💛💛 so get to giving! It’s such a good feeling :) not to mention you get a cute shirt. link to purchase is in @147million ‘s bio! Thank y’all and MERRY CHRISTMAS OFFICIALLY.”

According to the website, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

So let’s all get in the spirit of #GivingTuesday and start giving. How can you resist those adorable pics of little Willa Gray.
