Country music is still mourning the untimely loss of Troy Gentry. Many artists have used their platforms to honor his memory and legacy by covering Montgomery Gentry songs. Little Big Town took time during their Ryman Residency to cover Montgomery Gentry’s “My Town” in a performance the brought the crowd to its feet.

The stripped-down acoustic cover felt more like a sing along than a show. The quartet led the song as the crowd took over, singing in honor and celebration of Gentry’s life. Thanks to tributes like this, Gentry’s music will live on as an enduring testament to his life and as a part of country music’s heritage.

Little Big Town also took part in the Gentry memorial service at the Grand Ole Opry.
