Over the last few weeks Levi Hummon has been on the ultimate Ram-Powered Guts Glory Road Trip across the United States. Levi’s trip included 22(ish) stops on both coasts, the Wild Wild West and some of the world’s most famous tourist destinations. For most Americans, the summer is all about exploring and experiencing and there’s no better way to do either than by loading up the ol’ family truckster and hitting the open road.
We’ve pared Levi’s Guts Glory Road Trip list down to 10 stops for the ultimate road trip experience. Get out there!
10 Stops on the Ultimate Summer Road Trip (According to Levi Hummon):
1. Los Angeles
Start in LA and a do a little beachin’. For the the optimal experience, take your boots off.
LA to Austin will offer plenty of views, so make sure to get out and stretch a little. Once you get to Austin, make sure you eat as much as possible. Levi recommends Paper Boy– the best breakfast just about anywhere.
From Austin, head to Dallas and make sure you check out a ranch or two. Put that truck to work!
4. Little Rock
You have to stop in Little Rock, because it’s the capital of the greatest state in the USA! You can call us and we’ll spend a little time showing you around town and talking life.
There’s a lot to see, hear and do in Memphis! Check out Beale Street for some real blues music, eat at a hole-in-the-wall BBQ place and maybe check out Graceland.
Memphis to Detroit is a bit of a trek, but you’ll get to see a lot of Indiana along the way! When you get to Detroit tune in to WYCD 99.5 and request Levi’s new single, “Guts and Glory.” From there, check out all the city has to offer and maybe drive past Chrysler’s headquarters.
7. New York City
There’s more to do in NYC than one can imagine, but you have to hit up the touristy spots. Check out Times Square, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and all of the places in between– there are a lot!
8. Washington, DC
No real American road trip is complete without a stop in our nation’s capital. To see just about everything at once hit up the National Mall, home to the Smithsonian, National Gallery of Art, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the United States Capitol. You’ll be a quick walk from the White House and Thomas Jefferson Memorial too.
9. Augusta, Georgia
While in Augusta take in a show at the Country Club Dance Hall and Saloon or try to play a round of golf at Augusta National Golf Club.
There’s no better place to end your road trip than Music City, USA. Check out the Ryman Auditorium or Grand Ole Opry for a little country music history and then just head down Broadway to check Nashville’s next big thing. Or since it’s Levi’s hometown, hit him up for all the hot spots.
