Levi Hummon grew up in Nashville, under the same roof as one of the all-time great songwriters of the country music genre. His dad, Marcus Hummon is responsible for countless hits, including the legendary tunes, “Ready to Run” and “Cowboy Take Me Away” from the Dixie Chicks, plus “Bless the Broken Road” from Rascal Flatts.
Growing up, Levi soaked up a number of lessons from his GRAMMY-winning father and recently started turning those lessons in his own songs and words. His debut self-titled EP dropped in April after signing a record deal with Valory Music Company (Big Machine Label Group). Since then, the songster has spent his days (and nights) collaborating with notable songwriters Jon Nite, Andrew Dorff, Shane McAnally, Josh Osbourne, Tom Douglas, Nicolle Galyon, Hillary Lindsey and Liz Rose. His EP was produced by Jimmy Robbins and Levi co-wrote four of the five songs on the disc.
Currently, Levi is traversing the country in a Ram 1500 on the Ram Trucks Guts & Glory on the Road promo tour and we had a chance to catch up with him and get to know him a little better.
Levi loves Mexican food, wants to collaborate with Jesus and may or may not cry while watching Disney movies– watch our hot seat video with him to find out!
