With less than a week until Christmas, Little Big Town recently sat down with Jenna Bush Hager of “TODAY” to share some of their favorite holiday traditions. The country quartet spoke with the journalist ahead of their annual benefit concert at Blackberry Farm Hotel in Tennessee.

When asked their favorite Christmas dish, Kimberly Schlapman didn’t miss a beat: “Can S’mores be a favorite Christmas dish?” she asked.

Her band members approved and Karen Fairchild then confessed that her favorite holiday treat is Strawberry Pretzel Salad. “It’s a Southern thing,” she explained.

Kimberly’s household tradition is that each year every family member wears matching pj’s. Jenna then shared hers with the band as they all made Christmas cookies together.

When asked what has kept Little Big Town together as a band for 20 years, each explained that it is their friendship. “Being friends,” Jimi Westbrook explains. “We’re friends. It was that way from the start.”

The band also shared why they’ve been performing a holiday benefit concert for the past six years at the Tennessee hotel, explaining that it is often like coming home.

“The feeling you get here is special and our families come and our crew and our band,” Phillip Sweet says.

“We feel lucky that we’ve found this little piece of heaven,” Karen adds.

The annual benefit concert often features a more unplugged set from the band. All proceeds raised from their performance each year goes to the Blackberry Farm Foundation, which raises money for local organizations.
