After a rough start and being dropped from more than one country music radio station, Little Big Town and their song of the century, “Girl Crush” have a new record for the most consecutive weeks a country single has ever spent at No. 1.

Girl Crush” has now been at the top of Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart for 11 weeks. The last song to hold the top spot for this long was “Three Bells” by the Browns, in 1959.

The single is now the most downloaded in country music for 2015 with sales totaling approaching 1.4 million.

Though Little Big Town is celebrating the biggest success of their careers, the group has recently postponed all tour dates to help member, Jimi Westbrook recover from vocal cord surgery.

“Girl Crush” was written by Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Hillary Lindsey, collectively known as the Love Junkies.
