At 83 years old, Loretta Lynn has long been a legend across all genres of music and for the first time in over a decade she returned to the studio to take listeners on a journey through her musical story.
The brand new album, Full Circle is Lynn’s first since 2004’s Van Lear Rose, was produced by Patsy Lynn Russell and John Carter Cash, and recorded at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
The album features new versions of some of Lynn’s biggest hits and from the Appalachian folk songs and gospel music she learned as a child, as well as songs newly-written for the project.
One of the folk songs, “In The Pines,” dates back to the 1870s and was briefly featured in the film, “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
Country Outfitter is excited to premiere an exclusive clip of Loretta Lynn and John Carter Cash’s acoustic duet of “In The Pines.” One thing is for sure– Lynn’s still got it and her music journey has taken us to some of our favorite places ever.
Full Circle is available March 4 and also features Willie Nelson and Elvis Costello.
