Loretta Lynn has just cancelled her only show of 2018 due to uncontrollable circumstances. The country legend was slated to play the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Okla. on May 17. The cancellation coming four months in advance has fans concerned that Lynn’s performing days are now behind her.
A statement from Lynn’s manager was sent to all ticket holders. “Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Loretta Lynn date, scheduled May 17, 2018, in Tulsa has been canceled. Refunds are available at point of purchase.”
No reason has been given for Lynn’s advanced cancellation but many speculate it has to do with Lynn’s recent health complications. Lynn suffered a stroke in May from which she recovered and returned to celebrate her friend Alan Jackson’s Country Music Hall of Fame’s Medallion Ceremony and even performed at Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival in September. In January, Lynn took a serious fall that broke her hip. Lynn’s daughter, Patsy, presumed the fall occurred while Lynn was playing with her new puppy.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lynn for a speedy recovery.
