In a recent interview promoting her new album, Loretta Lynn discussed first meeting Willie Nelson when she arrived in Nashville in the 1960s. The duo played a few concerts together to (probably) the luckiest audiences in music history. Nelson is featured on the song “Lay Me Down” from Lynn’s new record Full Circle.

“I thought he was the most handsomest man I ever met,” Lynn said. “His hair was the color of brass, and his eyes were the same color.”

Lynn is currently on tour.
