Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell to Play Benefit Concert for South Georgia Tornado Victims

Luke Bryan and Cole Swindell will join their fellow Georgia natives to perform during the upcoming Heart of South Georgia benefit concert to aid those in the area who were devastated by a tornado in 2017.

“In 2017 South Georgia was DEVASTATED by a tornado. Now myself, @Phillips, @ColeSwindell, @ThePeachPickers, & @DJRockd11 are heading home to support the continued relief efforts,” Luke shares on Twitter. “I’m so thankful to call this area home & can’t wait to see y’all.”

The benefit concert is set to happen on Oct. 3 at the Exchange Club of Albany in Albany, Ga. The show kicks off at 6 p.m. and includes performances by Luke and Cole as well as Phillip Phillips, The Peach Pickers and DJ Rock.

According to the concert’s website, proceeds raised from the show will be donated to the Heart of South Georgia Fund of the Community Foundation of South Georgia to support the ongoing natural disaster relief efforts as well as other needs within the community. Luke’s 2018 has been a busy one. In addition to performing at the upcoming tornado benefit concert, the “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset” singer recently opened his new bar/restaurant Luke’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink in downtown Nashville. Earlier this week, the singer took part in the establishment’s grand opening and performed a 90-minute set on a stage in the heart of Lower Broadway where an estimated 30,000 country fans were in attendance.

“Thank you for being here, what an exciting day for me and my family and my friends and all the people in my world. It’s very exciting being here. I never could have imagined driving down Broadway and seeing my name in neon,” Luke told the media crowd from the main floor of his bar/restaurant on Monday.

The 30,000-square-foot building features six levels of entertainment space. It features eight bars, including Broadway’s only multi-level rooftop bars with sushi menu, four stages of live music, and two restaurants.
