Luke Bryan may have a song called “Drink a Beer” but that certainly doesn’t mean he wants a bear to actually do it. This is exactly what happened, though, when the country singer was relaxing by the lake recently.
In a short clip uploaded to Instagram, the singer spots a bear eyeing his beer a few yards away. Luke’s with some friends and one can be heard saying, “he’s drinking your beer!” They all get a good laugh out of it and Luke shares the encounter on Instagram with the caption, “Grizzly literally drinking my beer.”
Luke has some brief down time before his What Makes You Country Tour picks back up in Indiana on Aug. 24. The singer has been keeping busy throughout 2018 with multiple tours and his judging duties on the rebooted season of “American Idol.” With all that work he’s raking in the big bucks too, as Luke was recently named the highest paid country star on Forbes‘ 2018 list.
This year, the singer bests previous title holder Garth Brooks. Luke amassed an impressive $52 million dollars in the last 12 months thanks to his headlining tour, where he brings in roughly seven figures a night. His “American Idol” job and countless endorsements add to Luke becoming 2018’s title holder.
An impressive feat, Luke also recently became the first country artist to headline and sell out Dodger Stadium as part of his What Makes You Country Tour XL Stadium Sized Tour.
“Stadiums are a lot of work,” Luke tells Billboard. “You’ve gotta try to make 50,000 people feel like [they’re in] an intimate setting and an intimate environment. When you’re playing a 15,000-seat amphitheater, everybody’s right in front of you. When I get done with a stadium, I feel like I ran a marathon. There’s no just getting up there and nonchalantly making a stadium show happen. You gotta work hard at it.”
