Move over Garth Brooks. According to Forbes latest list of 2018’s highest paid country stars, Luke Bryan is taking the crown.
The “Whatever Makes You Country” singer edges out Brooks, who held the title previously. Luke raked in an impressive $52 million dollars in the last 12 months thanks to his headlining Whatever Makes You Country Tour, where he brings in roughly seven figures a night. Add to that his “American Idol” job and endorsements and Luke is in the money.
Garth Brooks ruled the Forbes list for the past three years, due to his 3-year world tour bringing in the cash, however, the superstar has slipped to No. 2 on the list, bringing in $45.5 million. Rounding out the top three is Kenny Chesney. Thanks to his Trip Around the Sun Tour, Blue Chair Rum deal and endorsements, Kenny took home $37 million.
While there was only one female that made the Top 10 list, these ten country acts pulled in a whopping $304.5 million in the past 12 months. We know who’s picking up dinner.
