Luke Bryan was born and raised on a peanut farm in Georgia and though he’s an absolute superstar these days, he still sounds like he’s from that farm in Georgia.

During a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show,” while explaining the name of his new album, What Makes You Country, Luke declared, “Listen to me talk! It’s pretty much the stamp right there. That’s the stamp on the forehead, ‘boom! He’s country.'”

And he obviously wanted to know what makes Jimmy country, “Every time I’m around Jimmy he has to brag on his pickup truck, so what percent country does that make you based on your love for your truck?”

Jimmy said, “More than 5-percent, yeah! Some of the best songs in country music are about pickup trucks!”

To which Luke replied, “I know. I wrote most of them!”

What Makes You Country is out now.
