Luke Bryan Reunites with “American Idol” Winner Maddie Poppe For “Picture” Duet

Luke Bryan got his “American Idol” fix on when he invited season 16 winner, Maddie Poppe to join him on stage for a duet.

The duo reunited during Luke’s Farm Tour stop in Boone, Iowa last month. Maddie returned to her home state for the performance. While the weather didn’t cooperate, a little rain couldn’t stop Luke and Maddie from belting out their best version of Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock’s 2002 hit, “Picture.”

“I think a lot of people would’ve canceled in weather like this, but (Luke’s) such a great guy,” Poppe told the audience, according to the Des Moine Register. “Give it up for him.”

Following their duet, Luke gave Maddie the stage, allowing her to sing a solo number. The Clarksville, Iowa native chose Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee.”

Maddie took home the crown on “American Idol,” beating out her boyfriend Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Gabby Barrett. She later released her first single, “Going, Going, Gone” after performing it on the show.
