Luke Bryan Scores 19th No. 1 Hit With “Light It Up”

Just as Luke Bryan released his sixth studio album,
What Makes You Country, the country superstar is waking up to his 19th No. 1 hit.

The lead single from his latest effort, “Light It Up,” has reached the top of the charts, dethroning Garth Brooks’ “Ask Me How I Know.” Written by Luke and Old Dominion’s Brad Tursi, “Light It Up” follows his previous two No. 1 hits, “Fast” and “Move,” which came in as Luke’s 17th and 18th No. 1’s.

It’s been a whirlwind week for Luke, who has been hanging out in New York performing for fans at events hosted by Pandora, NASH-FM and Samsung. He also made appearances on
Good Morning America live from Opry City Stage and sang the title track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” During his time there, the 41-year-old celebrated his 11th wedding anniversary with wife Caroline and visited Lennox Hill Hospital with Musicians On Call, to meet and perform for the staff and patients bedsides.
