After giving it his all Friday night during the CMA Fest nightly concerts at Nissan stadium, Luke Combs has some bad news for fans.

The singer took to Instagram to announce that he would be cancelling upcoming shows because he completely lost his voice.

To all of my fans: I’m devastated over this, but unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to play for y’all this weekend or next because I’ve lost my voice,” Luke wrote on social media. After I got off stage last night at CMA Fest, I had completely lost my voice. I’ve powered through plenty of shows before, but with how my voice sounds and feels today, I couldn’t possibly give y’all the show you paid for and deserve.”

Luke went on to explain that he has a treatment plan to help get his voice back.

“This morning, I saw my doctors and we’ve got a plan of vocal rest and treatments for the next 10 days so I can be back with y’all as quickly as possible. It kills me to have to have to do this. Y’all are the reason I get on stage every night. Hearing you sing my songs at the top of our lungs with me is unlike anything else. Thanks for being the best fans out here. I owe y’all one. Love you guys, Luke.”

Luke was one of the highlight performances during the nightly concerts at Nissan, treating the crowd to hits like “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours,” and “One Number Away.”

Luke was scheduled to perform at the Winstock Country Music Festival in Winstead, Minn. Saturday night (June 9) and the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga Tenn., on Sunday (June 10).

The 28-year-olds appearances at Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colorado on June 14 and in Comstock, Nebraska on June 15 have also been cancelled.

We wish for a speedy recovery for Luke so he can get back to his fans on the road as quickly as possible.
