The hit-seeking missile known as Maddie & Tae have already proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are far more than a “Girl in a Country Song.” They aren’t objects of desire with little no more to offer than blonde hair and perfect complexions. They’re worth runs much deeper, as found on their brand new single “Fly“—a lilting and profound heart-plucker piercing the soul with angst and truth. But there’s something to be said for two 19-year-olds who aren’t afraid to be who they are and embracing life with every ounce of confidence they can muster, even if that means stepping into an inspired evening gown or a simple T-shirt and jeans.

Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye represent all that is good and wholesome in the whole of music, portraying an image of sincerity and commanding personality. As their songs “Sierra” and “Your Side of Town” suggest, there’s simply nothing wrong with being on top of the world, spitting in the face of negativity and not caring what others might think. That says far more than what our culture in 2015 has decided is “right” or “true.” Sometimes, you’ve gotta blaze your own path to greatness, and that’s exactly what this breakout duo has managed to do in less than a year. To celebrate, Country Outfitter has put together a list of their 5 Most Glamorous Moments. Hopefully, this spreads a little bit of empowerment in a day when females are still being belittled and shortchanged.

Girl power!

The duo’s first-ever performance at Stage Coach proved to be electric. Not to mention, they took to the stage in some rather stylized outfits and completely tore the house down.

Their truly harrowing “After the Storm Blows Through” left chills during their Grand Ole Opry performance last year. Of course, it wasn’t only their poignant lyrics that struck the crowd. Their freshly mature (and vintage lace-inspired) outfits were eye-catching. (Isn’t it so wonderful that young singers like these don’t feel the need to show copious amounts of skin?!)

Maddie & Tae’s biggest and splashiest moment came at this year’s 50th Academy of Country Music Awards. On the red carpet, the duo paired together two extremely flashy dresses; one teal, one purple. They couldn’t look more bold but completely humble. Brava!

Even during this year’s Super Bowl blowout, the singers couldn’t help but don super adorable outfits that showed off their bubbly personalities and their oozing optimism. During this year’s Arizona show, as part of Pepsi’s Hyped for Halftime, they not only gained legions of fans who appreciated their music, but also their innate sense of fashion.

Oh, and speaking of going bold, Maddie is striking in blood red during her performance at the Ryman Auditorium earlier this year. Of course, her outfit is balanced with Tae’s more earthy (but also stunning) short skirt look. Serious life goals right here. Seriously.
