Maren Morris Took The Ryman To Church Singing “Down To The River” With Little Big Town

-

Miranda Lambert is not the only guest Little Big Town invited onstage at the Ryman. Maren Morris joined the group onstage for an inspiring a capella cover of “Down To The River To Pray”, an old South Gospel classic. The resulting five-part harmony filled the air with an angelic gospel sound that fit perfectly with the wooden pews of the Mother Church of Country music .

Morris also debuted her new long pink hairdo during the song, but never played the guitar slung over her shoulder. If only we could hear the rest of that set.

Little Big Town played Saturday with special guests Miranda Lambert and Charlie Worsham. Both sets are a part of Little Big Town’s Ryman residency which will conclude over two nights in September.
