It’s easy to see the shift in Nashville happening. It’s been coming for a long time, but after Chris Stapleton’s breakout night during the 49th Annual CMA Awards, it’s officially here.

The shift away from over-produced, lyrically dull and not great music has happened and the next name you’re about to hear a lot of is Maren Morris.

Maren’s EP is officially here after already gaining traction on Spotify, generating in excess of 6 million worldwide streams in less than two months, with 3 songs hitting Spotify’s US and Global “Viral 50” lists.

The EP’s strongest track, “My Church” is a confessional look at how music can bring healing and name-drops the likes of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash.

Maren has already established herself in the Nashville songwriting community and her EP has everyone in town talking.

I’m so excited about this! Thank you for being a bad ass @marenmorris #texasgirls #girlsincountrymusic
