Martina McBride lives in a beautiful, six-bedroom home just a few miles from downtown Nashville. McBride and her husband purchased the home 16 years ago and started renovations on the neoclassical home, which was built in 1917.

And like most things McBride does, she wanted the home to feel warm, inviting, “like someone giving you a warm hug,” she told Billboard in a recent interview. McBride also shared with the magazine that her home has two different sides– the down-to-earth, homey side and the glam side.

Both sides of the home are now ghost-free, thanks to a photo of a saint McBride now has hanging, “He watches over the house. We used to have spirits in our house, and we renovated and now they seem to be gone. Maybe this painting is one of the reasons?”

Over the years, McBride has casually shared photos of her home with fans– usually, they are real looks at her life like her dirty bathroom or a sink full of dishes.
