Following his arrest at a Florida McDonald’s for suspicion of a DUI and possession of marijuana, country singer Michael Ray has issues a statement from his publicist:
I want to apologize to my fans, family, and my hometown community for placing myself in this situation. I am so very sorry for the disappointment these events have caused everyone. I know it will take time; however, I will do everything I can to rebuild your trust.
Ray, who scored a No. 1 hit in 2015 with “Kiss You in the Morning,” was arrested in his hometown of Eustis, Florida after he hit a car in the drive-thru at McDonald’s. According to the police report, “Michael said he was in the drive thru and his foot slipped off the pedal causing him to hit the back of a 2016 blue Scion in front of him.”
His next scheduled show isn’t until February 1st.
