The debut album from Nashville artist Michael Ray, which features the No. 2 hit single “Kiss You In The Morning,” is available everywhere today. In addition, the rising country star will make his first-ever national morning television appearance with a performance of “Kiss” on Good Morning America August 11.
“I can’t believe this day is finally here and I get to share this album with all of my fans,” says Michael. “And getting to perform my single on Good Morning America is a dream come true. I can’t even begin to thank everyone who has supported me and helped me over the years to create an album that I’m incredibly proud of.”
The Scott Hendricks-produced 12-track album captures all the best of Michael, the singer-songwriter and guitarist who’s spent more than half his life performing for ever-growing crowds. Raised in Eustis, Michael has parlayed his true rural upbringing as a member of his grandfather’s old-school country band and made himself into an all-around entertainer who already had a healthy, built-in fan base across the Southeast before arriving in Nashville.
The success of “Kiss You in the Morning” attests to Michael’s instant accessibility. Plus, he’s also got a profound love for the country music of yesteryear thanks to his grandfather, who passed away earlier in 2015. He dedicated his first performance on the Grand Ole Opry to his Papa, playing one of his guitars that he played for over 50 years, and has been invited back several times in the months since his debut, including an upcoming Thursday night performance to celebrate the release of the new album.
Michael will be joining Kip Moore this fall for his “Wild Ones” tour kicking off this October. For more information please, visit www.michaelraymusic.com.
