“All work and no play” surely couldn’t have been the case when Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin landed in Hawaii for the fifth annual BMI Songwriter’s Festival.
Miranda shared a few photographs of the event on her socials, including one of her headlining at the weekend-long festival and one of her in, what could either be a writing session or rehearsal with fellow artists and writers including Randy Houser and Lucas Nelson.

Also included in the mini-scrapbook are a few photos of Miranda and Brendan enjoying some of the beautiful sights and landscapes of Maui. The pair enjoyed a romantic sunset on the island, but they also found one of the locale’s beautiful waterfalls and grabbed a sweet shot at the breathtaking venue that hosted her writer’s round on December 7.
“Thank you @bmi songwriters festival for having us back this year,” Miranda wrote in the caption. “Maui is a magical place. Playing music here with great friends is a dream. Headed home for family time! ”
In the caption, Miranda mentions that the couple was on their way home following the fun weekend. We could assume that she means their home in Nashville, but it’s likely they will head to New York for part of their holiday break to celebrate Christmas with Brendan’s son. It’s also possible that Mr. and Mrs. McLoughlin will spend a bit of their holiday in Texas, where Miranda is from.
They could have every climate covered!
Miranda and Brendan will celebrate their first anniversary in January. The two met in 2018 and tied the knot in a surprise wedding, announcing their nuptials on social media. BMI is a performing rights organization that collects publishing royalties for publishing companies and songwriters.
